It’s the month of love and on the cover are our members Hayley and Paul who have been together for 8 years!
How did you meet?
Hayley: We met when we moved into the same accommodation in 2016. It was love at first sight. I fancied Paul, I thought he was funny.
Paul: I liked Hayley’s long hair and her dance moves. After four years I got down on one knee and proposed at Hayley’s house.
Favourite moments in your relationship?
Hayley: We went on holiday to Newcastle and went for dinner at Chinatown. Another time Paul got us donuts when I wasn’t well.
Paul: Hayley wrote me a love letter, and she cooks for me. My favourite is macaroni cheese. I cook too, I make mince and tatties. Sometimes we have a wee dance together in the house. We dance to Elvis and we like karaoke.
How would you describe your partner?
Paul: She’s so special and she always will be.
Hayley: He’s romantic. I like his smile.
How does coming along to get2gether support your relationship?
Hayley: We like coming to big nights out together where we can have a drink and a dance and make friends here. Coming to the Big Nights out is going out on a date.
Paul:We look through the booklet together and decide what we want to go to as a couple but it also helps us be independent of each other and to form a wider social circle.
What is the future for Hayley and Paul?
Paul: I can’t wait to get married and to get a big flat and move in together.
Hayley: We’d like to have a baby in the future.
